Great weekend

I had a great weekend!  Matt is out of town for work and has been for the last 7 days.  That has been hard for me, but friends and family have taken such great care of me!  Friday night, the wives and fiance of the guys that are out of town with Matt came over for dinner and a movie.  We had a fun time!  My favorite part was talking to our husbands and fiance on the computer.  I got to see Matt's face!!

My sweet friend Joy came into town for a fun girls weekend.  We haven't had time together like that in a long time.  We had a BLAST!!  We went to lunch on Saturday.  Went shopping all day.  Then came home and tried to watch a movie...couldn't because we kept talking!  Hahaha :)  Thanks for coming to hang out!  Love you!

On Sunday I went to a new church that Matt and I are visiting.  And guess what??  Elizabeth Anne (my new niece) slept all during church on my chest.  It was the sweetest thing ever!!  I so enjoyed having her with me since I was husbandless.  Anyway, we are really enjoying this church.  I met one of the other couples that doesn't have kids yet either and it was really neat to talk with her.  We are just praying that the Lord will show us where he wants us.  After Church I drove to my parent's house for my "little" bother's bday.  He is turing 15 today!  Watch out on the road!  Sorry I don't have a pic of him.  But the girls went shopping later to get my grandmother's gift and I did get a pic of some of us :)

After a great day celebrating with the fam I had a little down time.  I watched some tv, did laundry, and missed Matt wayyyy too much.  So I called Christine (my sister-in-law) and she came to the rescue.  We watched some tv and I did a little project. 

All in all, it was a great weekend.  I am so thankful for friends and family who have taken such great care of me.

 I am so excited.  We are going shopping to find her some good jeans.  I love sevens and have accidently given Joy a love for them as well.  So we will be off to all the discount jeans stores this weekend.  I am sure a little of this

Shade Winner!!

So I have never really won anything (except a $25 savings account back when I was 8 for a coloring contest). BUT, today that has been changed!!! I entered a $25 giftcard giveaway on Shade and today I found out that I won!!  I am so excited.  They have some great clothes to choose from!  Go here to Shade Clothing.  These are my fav!

I love this skirt to wear with a fitted black t-shirt tucked in with boots or something.  Very cute!

I absolutely love this Tunic.   This might be what I choose to spend the $25 on :)

I've also wanted a drape cardigan, but never felt I could justify the purchase.  Now I can since I have a giftcard!!  Whoohoo!!

This scarf is also really fun.  I love having these to put over a plain shirt to spruce things up a bit.

Lastly, I love this pencil skirt.  Definitely dressy, yet casual.

Still here!

We are still here!  I'm sorry that I have neglected this blog.  I've been pretty busy with work and my other blog, that I accidently neglected my first love.  So an update!  Matt is leading his first school for Booster this week!!  I am so incredibly proud of him.  Here he is in his work get-up.  Lucky him...he gets to wear shorts and a t-shirt to work every day!  He loves that part:)

This is the team he works with each week.  They are a fun group of guys! 

We are having his team over for dinner on Thursday as well as wives, girl friends...anyone who wants to join us!  I'm so thankful that Matt is surrounded by other Godly men...all day every single work day.  What a blessing for a wife.  

So Fall is here!  I can't even tell you how excited I am about fall.  I've been doing a few projects (polka dot pumpkins and painting our kitchen chairs) around our house getting us all ready.  Is it me or did anyone else notice that it has taken no time at all for it to feel like fall?  I feel like in Atlanta we are usually still wearing shorts and t-shirts.  Not complaining...I LOVE IT!!!  Matt and I have a busy October ahead, but that's ok.  We enjoy staying busy.  Maybe it will make Thanksgiving come faster.  We are headed to Seaside with my family for Thanksgiving and we couldn't be more excited.  My family used to go there every year so it will be fun to be there with them again.  But this time with babies!!

I have a theory...

That when I go shopping I always try clothes on before I buy them. You just never know what might happen if you don't. Matt has the opposite theory that he never tries clothes on. It works for him...not for me. Well, last night I was in a hurry to make a movie time so I ran into target with my sweet friend Abby to see if they had any cheap bathing suits. Low and behold, they did. I found a black and white polka dot top I had been eyeing since the beginning of the summer on sale for $4.48:) SCORE!! So, we start looking around for some plain black bottoms. Abby finds some for me and they look great...boy shorts and all. My fav. Well I guess trying them on at target would have been better because I would have realized that they were maternity bathing suit bottoms. WHOOPS!! Don't need those!

Elizabeth Anne Smith...

Was born @ 7:35 on September 1st. She is 6 lbs. 13 oz and so precious. I've never seen a baby soo alert in her first few hours. Matt and I had to work all day, but Laura seemed to be waiting for us. We headed to Athens as soon as we could and got there with 35 minutes to spare! I'd say pretty perfect timing:) We got to visit with Laura, Frankie, and Beth Anne for a little while after everyone left. It was a Special time with them:) It doesn't happen very often that I get to spend time with one of my sisters after delivery by myself so we took advantage of it!
